What YES MA’AM is about

You start at the very bottom of the pecking order: the recruit nobody notices, face-down in the mud on a training base. Then Sgt. Diana Demont hauls you up by the collar and makes it clear you’re hers now. Her project, her responsibility, her problem.

The catch is the ring on her finger. Diana is the commanding officer the whole base salutes, and she’s married to the Colonel, the man who runs everything. Everyone else sees the uniform. You’re the one she lets see the woman underneath the rank.

Episodes 1 and 2 establish the pecking order and then start quietly bending it. We won’t go further than that, except to say the tension lives in who gives the orders, and how long she can keep it off the record.

Who you’ll meet

Diana Demont is the engine of the show: clipped, demanding and used to being obeyed the first time. Like every Candy Shorts lead she’s an AI-generated, fictional adult, and she lives on outside the series as a chat character. You can chat with Diana and find out whether she’s just as strict one-on-one.

The Colonel hovers in the background as the threat that never quite leaves the room. You play the recruit, so the story is told from your side of the salute.

Why it’s worth your free episodes

If you like a woman in charge, this is one of Candy’s purest takes on it. The mood is barked orders softening into something private, with the risk of discovery pulling everything tight.
