Is Candy AI free? The quick answer
Free to start, paid to finish. Candy AI gives away more than most people expect, and on Candy Shorts the free part is real: full episodes, not trailers.

The free account is the sweet spot for testing. It doubles the episodes you can watch and lifts the blur off the spicy shelf, the 13 series Candy only shows to signed-in members. You’ll still pay tokens for their later episodes, but at least you’ll see what’s behind those posters.
Candy Shorts free: how far the free episodes get you
On a standard five-episode series, the free part is two episodes out of five: enough to meet the characters, understand the setup and hit the first big cliffhanger. The writers know exactly where episode 2 ends, so expect it to stop at the worst possible moment. That’s the hook.
The long series are a different equation:

What about the spicy shelf?
The 13 spicy series are members-only, not paid-only. A free account is enough to see them in the library: until you sign in, their posters stay blurred with a “Sign up to view” label. Once you’re in, the same token rule applies to their later episodes, so think of the free sign-up as your backstage pass rather than an all-access one.
A free-viewing plan that actually works
Want to squeeze the most out of free without wasting an evening? Try this:
- Night one, as a guest: play episode 1 of four or five series that sound good. Don’t commit to anything yet.
- Pick your top two and create the free account. Watch episode 2 of each.
- Spend your 5 free messages on the character from the series you liked most. It’s a surprisingly good way to tell whether you care how her story ends.
- Then decide. If one story is still in your head the next day, it’s worth 36 tokens. If not, keep sampling: there are 129 public openings to get through.
Four free starts worth your evening
- Yes, Coach: the most-searched Candy Shorts series. You’re the rookie on a pro football team, and the ice-cold coach, married to the owner, has decided you’re her personal project.
- My Girlfriend’s Big Sister is Riley Reid: a lake weekend, a girlfriend who forgot to mention her sister, and a sister with her own way of testing you. It’s a creator series, so the free start is the same but locked episodes cost 30 tokens.
- YES MA’AM: the base’s untouchable commanding officer, married to the colonel, picks the lowest recruit as her own. Twenty episodes if you get hooked.
- My Bestie Betrayed Me: a betrayal-and-revenge saga with 34 episodes, the longest binge in the library.
Your free Candy AI account: chat, character, image
Your free sign-up isn’t just for Shorts. Candy AI’s free account, per its help center, includes:
- the free Shorts episodes;
- up to 5 chat messages in total (not per day);
- 1 custom character you design yourself;
- 1 generated image.
The chat allowance is the fun part. Every Shorts character also exists as a chat character on Candy, so after episode 2 you can message, say, Diana Demont from YES MA’AM and see how she reacts. Five messages go fast, but it’s a decent taste of what unlimited chat feels like.
The custom character is worth trying too: build your own AI girlfriend once and she stays on your account. If you upgrade later, Premium lets you create more and chat with them without limits.
Is there a Candy AI free trial or free Premium?
No. Candy doesn’t offer a free trial of Premium, and there’s no legit “Candy AI free Premium” code or account. Sites promising free Premium, unlocked APKs or full leaked episodes aren’t Candy; they range from re-posted free episodes to outright phishing. If you want to dip a toe in without a long commitment, the 1-month plan is $9.99 for the first month, then $13.99/month. You can cancel any time from Profile → Settings → Unsubscribe and keep your tokens and anything you’ve unlocked. Candy’s help center says refunds are possible within 24 hours, on card payments only, if you’ve used 20 tokens or fewer. So if you’re testing the waters, hold off on unlocking episodes for the first day. Whatever you choose, the charge shows up as “EverAI” on your statement, not “Candy”.
When paying makes sense
Pay when a series has you and episode 2 just ended mid-sentence. Here’s what finishing costs:
