Candy AI videos: two kinds, one account
When people search for Candy AI videos, they usually mean one of two things, and Candy does both.
The first is Candy Shorts, Candy AI’s own video series: 142 vertical, AI-generated stories told in short episodes, from office power games to fantasy courts. The second is video you generate: short 18+ clips of characters, made on request with Premium. That’s what the rest of this page is about.

What the Candy AI video generator can do
Shorts give you stories someone else wrote. The Candy AI video generator gives you scenes you asked for. Instead of watching a character, you make her move: a glance, a turn, a moment from your chat brought to life.
There’s no “type anything, get a movie” box. Candy’s video tools always start from something concrete, like a character, an image or a set of choices, and that’s what keeps results on track. Four ways in:
- Scene Video in chat. Mid-conversation, ask for a 5-second clip of the moment you’re in. It costs 12 tokens. Searching for a Candy AI GIF? This short clip is the closest thing.
- Image to video. Generate a picture first, then animate it into a short clip, paid with tokens. The better the still, the better the clip.
- Build Your Video. According to Candy’s help center, you pick a character, an action, a location and a partner from presets, and the finished clip lands in My Generations. Candy warns the result can differ from your picks.
- Live Action. The interactive one. Select characters let you choose what happens next while the scene plays.
Candy AI Live Action, up close
Live Action is the feature that makes people say “wait, it does that?”. Candy lists the full Live Action experience among its Premium benefits, and characters that offer it carry a joystick icon on their profile, per Candy’s help center.

When we checked, her actions were sorted by level: you earn XP by chatting with her, each level unlocks new actions, and Candy notes that spam messages don’t earn XP. Some actions are free, others cost tokens, and the spicier ones only show once you’re signed in.

Generating video is where the free account stops. Candy’s free plan covers the free Shorts episodes, 5 chat messages, 1 character and 1 image, but no video generation.

Premium starts at $3.99/month on the 12-month plan (billed $47.88). Those 100 tokens are shared across everything: about eight Scene Videos, or a mix of clips, images and locked Shorts episodes. Premium Plus, Candy’s higher tier, bundles Live Action with New Experiences and live audio and raises the allowance to 330 tokens a month.
How to start making video
- Sign up free, then pick Premium when you’re ready for video.
- Open a character’s profile. Look for the joystick icon if you want Live Action.
- Chat first. It warms up the story and, in Live Action, earns the XP that unlocks more actions.
- Ask for a moment. Request a Scene Video in chat, or generate an image and animate it.
- Check your balance. Note your tokens before and after your first clip so you know your real cost.
Tips for better clips
- Start from a strong image. Image-to-video can only animate what’s there, so nail the still first with our image generator tips.
- One action per clip. Five seconds is short. A turn, a smile, a walk toward the camera works; a whole plot doesn’t.
- Let the chat set the scene. A Scene Video works best when the conversation has already established where you are.
- Personal use only. Candy’s help center says generated content is for you, not for reposting or selling.
